​The New American Theatre is seeking new one act plays for our 2026 Festival of New American One Act Plays.

Founded to support new plays and the playwrights who bring them to life, the competition reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing artists and advancing thoughtful, socially engaged storytelling.

Since 1995, The New American Theatre has presented more than 130 Los Angeles and world premiere plays and continues to support emerging and established playwrights worldwide.
