Health and safety
The New American Theatre is a special place and we are always committed to doing all that we can to help protect the health and safety of our patrons and artists. Like all of you, we have been closely monitoring the reports of COVID-19/novel coronavirus. We are following the guidance of federal and local health organizations including the L.A. County Department of Public Health.
We are increasing our cleaning routines, and we follow the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) recommended guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, which includes doorknobs, armrests and other areas around our theatres, and we have hand sanitizer at the front entrance.
Currently, the L.A. County Department of Public Health advises that “there is no immediate threat to the general public and no special precautions are required. Los Angeles County residents, students, workers, and visitors are encouraged to engage in their regular activities and practice good public health hygiene, as this is the height of flu season across the County.”
We encourage you to continue to take standard precautions, including frequent hand washing to avoid the spread of any flu-like illness and to stay at home if you feel ill. Performances are continuing on as scheduled.
